Indian by Nature Review

Indian by Nature

Indian by Nature is the name of Pattaya’s most successful and highly rated Indian restaurant. The restaurant is celebrating over 9 years old. In that time it has become a Pattaya institution.

According to the about blurb on their website, Indian by Nature was set up in 2004 in response to a shortage of places to dine on Indian cuisine in Pattaya. The head chef is also the business man behind the restaurant. His name is Av Khanijou.

The restaurant itself is spacious with comfortable seating. They haven’t tried to pack in too many tables. The feel of the restaurant along with the excellent service and the creative presentation of the dishes mark out Indian by Nature as a fine dining venue in Pattaya.

The prices reflect this. While the menu items cost less than comparable items in a European context, they are more than many restaurants in Pattaya. If you choose wine you might be shocked by the final bill.

The restaurant also has a wine list and carries a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including an extensive range of gins.

The menu insists Indian by Nature serves up authentic Indian food. They offer dals, biryani, roti, kebab, Madrasi, rogan josh, vindaloo, malai kofta among many other dishes. Naturally, they have the Brits favourite – chicken tikka masala. House specialities include Tangri kebabs, Kerala fish curry and crab masala.

The restaurant also does take-aways and will deliver orders more than 1,000 Thai Baht for free within 5 kilometers of the restaurant. Click here to see the take away menu at Indian by Nature.

Indian by Nature also hosts events. They have Indian musicians in as well as other cultural events. In the past they have had ‘Shakespeare for Dummies’ and ‘The Elephant Man’. For the latest news and events it is best to visit the restaurant’s Facebook page. Sadly, the blog section of their website hasn’t been updated since 2014.

At the time of writing Indian by Nature had over 600 reviews on Trip Advisor. It is ranked fifth out of 705 restaurants in Pattaya. The overwhelming impression is that Indan by Nature serves up great curries and nan breads and the service is friendly and efficient. There are very few complaining guests. That only thing that is noticeable is the management’s over-zealousness to respond to every review on Trip Advisor .
