Naklua Beach Resort is ideal for families. The hotel consists of two large accommodation blocks either side of a large swimming pool facing towards the sea. The rooms are large and the hotel restaurant features a Thai/Western menu. The hotel is in the less busy busy part of Pattaya some 3km from the main city centre.
This hotel was renovated in 2011 and the owners have made an effort to make this hotel attractive inside and out. All rooms have balconies overlooking the pool and some a partial view of the sea from the balcony. The restaurant and lobby have been decorated using wood to give them a Thai feel. For a 1,000 THB a night this hotel is a bargain and the hotel is run on a value for money basis. It is not luxurious but then again for the price you could not hope to get a room in a beach front hotel which was luxurious.
The buffet breakfast served at the Naklua Beach resort is average. You can get better by going to one of many restaurants and cafes on the road near to the hotel. This said, booked though Agoda we got breakfast for only 100 THB extra per person on the room rate and this was fine for coffee and toast and the convenience of not having to go very far to get it.
It is the rooms (and the pool) which are the highlight of this hotel. The rooms are big (34 sqm) and have balconies, as well as coming well-appointed with coffee/tea maker, mini bar, refrigerator and cable TV. Overall this is a comfortable enough hotel which is a great choice for an affordable holiday with children, who will happily spend the whole day playing the large swimming pool (there is a kid’s pool as well) while you relax at the poolside bar.
